Meet our participants – Daniel Benbassat

Welcome back to another #meetourparticipants blog post!

We hope that you are getting a good insight into our participants and their experiences on our summer schools!

This week we are introducing you to Daniel from Toronto! Daniel attended our Silicon Valley program last year and is excited to share with you a bit more about his time at the program!

Daniel, tell us a little about yourself

My name is Daniel Benbassat, I am 22 years old and I was born in Mexico City, Mexico and I now live in Toronto Canada.

I am currently studying commerce at Queen’s University. It interests me because I think it is the most relevant subject to what I want to do with my life.

In my free time I like to workout, play guitar/piano, hang out with friends and read.

What are your ambitions in life?

I want to leave a legacy and change the world for the better!

What was the best thing that you learned on our Silicon Valley Academy?

The most interesting thing that I learned is that there are people all over the world that have a similar idea about life as you. I learned this during the program by being introduced to some of these people.

Did you know – last year we had participants from over 44 countries, all with the same goal of learning about business and self-development! Check out some of our ambassadors around the globe!

Why did you choose to study during the summer vacation?

I decided to apply to the ABC BootCamps because I felt that what I was learning in University was not enough and that I needed supplementary learning. The chance to do this in Silicon Valley while meeting new people from all around the world provided me with the opportunity to partake in the 2-week long summer school program. This program provides the real world experience that University doesn’t.

What did you think of the accommodation and support available throughout the program?

The accommodation and support available during the program was awesome. Whenever anyone had any questions whether it was regarding team projects, personal ideas or anything at all. The coordinators of the program were always present and ready to help you.

Did you knowWe provide 24-hour support to all of our participants, making sure we are on hand whenever you need us!

What is your Favourite quote?

If you don’t play you can’t win!

Well, that wraps up this #meetourparticipant post! We hope you enjoyed getting to know Daniel!
